Spinal Instability is Treatable

SurgerySpinal instability is one of those conditions that’s difficult to assess and treat. Adding to the confusion is the fact that many primary care doctors don’t understand the condition and potential remedies.

Recently, a primary care doctor referred a patient to our office with a bad case of spinal instability. While he had been dealing with the condition for several years, it had reached a point where he was no longer able to live his day-to-day life.

In addition to a variety of tests, we discussed all his treatment options to ensure that he was a part of the decision making process. After an in-depth conversation, the patient chose to undergo minimally invasive surgery.

We were able to correct all his spinal problems, thus giving him the pain-free life he’d been seeking for so long.

At his first follow-up appointment, he noted that he was pain-free and more functional than he’s been over the past three to five years.

It’s not always easy to pinpoint and treat spinal instability, but there are solutions available. By consulting with our office after a few dead ends, this patient was able to receive the treatment required to restore the life he once knew.
