A Herniated Disc Can Cause Major Health Problems

A herniated disc is every bit as serious as it sounds, as it can cause a variety of major health problems. Even if your issues originate in your back and/or neck, there’s a good chance it’ll impact the rest of your body in a variety of other ways.

Pain manegement

Recently, we consulted with a patient who had been suffering from a herniated disc at L3/L4 for more than three years. Previously, he met with an orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed the problem as degenerative disc disease, despite the MRI clearly showing differently.

After our first meeting, we had a clear plan of action in place, which started with minimally invasive surgery. Several weeks after the procedure, the patient noted that he was feeling almost 100 percent for the first time in years.

Sometimes, a herniated disc is difficult to diagnose. And sometimes, a doctor overlooks the real problem, which can result in long-term pain and suffering.

If you suspect that you have a herniated disc, don’t give up until you receive the appropriate treatment. From there, you’ll begin to realize that you can once again live a pain-free life.
