A Herniated Disc can Cause Severe Leg Problems

MassageAre you suffering from leg pain and discomfort? Have you had trouble pinpointing the exact cause? Are you concerned that the pain will never go away?

Many people make the mistake of assuming their leg pain is caused by something happening locally, such as a pulled muscle or tendon. However, there are many cases in which a back injury, such as a herniated disc, is the root cause of the problem.

Recently, we consulted with a patient who had been suffering from severe leg problems for more than three years.

After running a variety of tests, we found that he had a herniated disc at L3/L4. From there, we scheduled the patient for minimally invasive surgery, which resulted in a full correction within a few months.

In this case, the patient had been working closely with an orthopedic surgeon to help identify and solve the problem. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, which led him to believe there was no course of action.

If you’re suffering from any type of leg pain, don’t overlook the fact that it could be the direct result of a back issue.
